Experience Japanese Language & Culture at Ritsumeikan University This Winter
The Ritsumeikan Summer Japanese Program recently welcomed students from five countries for an immersive five-week experience in Kyoto. Through more than 50 hours of Japanese language classes, cultural activities, and interactions with Ritsumeikan students through the Buddy Program and residence hall activities, participants developed their Japanese skills while building international friendships.
Students also experienced Japan’s rich cultural heritage through a traditional tea ceremony, Kanji Museum visit, Japanese calligraphy, and Kyo-Yuzen dyeing workshop. The program concluded with presentations and short plays on Japanese culture, allowing students to showcase the knowledge and language skills they had gained.
